Tearing out concrete is expensive and messy. If the slab is structurally sound, it can usually be ground down, repaired and recoated with a new surface that looks and feels like new.

Is resurfacing cheaper than replacing concrete?
Usually, when the slab is structurally sound. Grinding and recoating avoids demolition and haul-off.
